Mulmul is a soft and fine weave of cotton which is also known as muslin. It is almost around 100 years ago when Bengali weavers first weaved it. Mulmul cotton fabric was one of the prized imports from India to the lands of England and Scotland. Being breathable in nature, the fabric absorbs moisture and keeps you at ease even in scorching heat.
The coexistence of the white with a pop of pink, popularly known as rani pink (queen’s pink) is a classic display of the subtility of mul fabrics. The light weight and softness, allowed for the pink fabric to be pleated neatly and placed against the white, for that pop of colour.

The design was created using one block. The print was carefully chosen to make the dress use colour pop and also a subtle pattern, keeping the overall look simple and chic. This fabric has been hand dyed, using Azo free dyes.
- Wash with similar colours.
- It is recommended to hand wash the fabric in cold water or using a gentle cycle in the washing machine.
- Do not soak this fabric before washing.
- Do not dry clean the mul cotton fabric.
- Iron the fabric on low heat setting.
