Description
In 1750s, in Switzerland cloth was woven by hand on looms that were operated by hand. It is believed that the pattern in St. Gallen, Switzerland, which became known as a hub for textile production in the 15th century. The dots were originally made using a process called swivel weaving, which was a kind of weaving that enabled multi-coloured motifs to be woven into a foundation fabric.
Swiss dot is regarded for the classy look that it can create. It is a fine cotton fabric with a simple weave that is lightweight and dotted all over with tiny dots.

This pattern was made using two blocks and three colours. The flowers were printed one at a time, allowing the artisan the space to balance perfection and the craft.
- It is recommended to hand wash the fabric in cold water or using a gentle cycle in the washing machine.
- Do not soak this fabric before washing.
- Do not dry clean the dotted swiss fabric.
